The beautiful Hotel Sorella opened in the Country Club Plaza of Kansas City in May of 2014. Its gorgeous restaurant and bar “Rosso” is adorned with several of our linear diffusers. A comfortable atmosphere is completed with an under-floor system of heaters and diffusers. Giving the guests optimal comfort.
Downstairs, in “Francesca’s” lounge area, you will see several Titus Modulinear Diffusers that work seamlessly with the areas architecture and design.
From Hotel Sorella’s Webpage: “The newly constructed Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza features a grand fusion of modern design and Mediterranean inspiration. Details playfully mirror the Plaza’s own influence of Spanish Seville, such as our breathtaking rooftop pool and Renaissance-style artwork, all with a fashionable flair for the dramatic.”

Kansas City Zoo’s Helzberg Penguin Plaza opened September of 2013. It is home to about a dozen Humboldt Penguins and 50 Cold Water Penguins.
This project was funded in part by several donations as well as the citizens of Jackson and Clay county. From the Kansas City Zoo Webpage: “Thanks to the Junior League of Greater Kansas City for their generous lead gift of one million dollars. The main exhibit area viewing window looks out onto massive ice formations that provide a variety of above and below water excitement. Some of the features visible include an ice bridge, tunnels and even pop-up holes for penguins to launch themselves out of. Special Filtration is provided for this world-class exhibit to control airborne pathogens and provide odor control for the more than 100,000 gallons of salt water. Water cycles through the life support systems every 30 minutes and used saltwater is recycled to conserve fresh water and salt. Two ice flake machines located on catwalk above the viewing window will produce 3” of snowfall per day, perfect for penguins to play!”
We used several products for this project: Titus VAV Boxes, Flow bars, and CT Linear bar grilles. Ruskin Fire/Smoke Dampers. Loren Cook Mixed Flow Fans and CPS belt drive vent set fans.
